Why is ChemPur the right partner for purchasing tungsten?

When it comes to high-purity tungsten and specialized applications, we offer you a combination of quality, experience and service. As an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, we stand for proven processes and consistently high material quality.

Our range includes both elemental tungsten and a wide variety of compounds in different purity grades and forms. Through our international supplier network, we can reliably provide even rare materials or special qualities. A decisive advantage lies in our technical consulting: we provide targeted support in selecting suitable materials for your application. Even with complex requirements or custom fabrications, we find an appropriate solution together – efficient, practical and reliable.

Which tungsten forms does chemPUR offer?

Our range covers nearly all common and specialized material forms of tungsten. For applications in the laboratory or in materials development, nanopowders, powders, granules and pellets are available.

For technical and industrial applications, we supply semi-finished products such as foils, sheets, wires and rods in various dimensions. Sputtering targets and materials for evaporation processes are also part of the range. In addition to pure tungsten, we offer a broad selection of chemical compounds, including oxides, carbides, sulfides and silicides. This diversity enables precise adaptation to the most varied requirements in research and industry.

Are tungsten wires available for laboratories?

Tungsten wires are available in our range in numerous variants and cover a broad application spectrum in research and industry. Diameters range from extremely fine 0.01 mm up to several millimeters, enabling both precise laboratory applications and robust technical uses. Thanks to their high temperature resistance and mechanical stability, tungsten wires are particularly suitable for high-temperature processes, vacuum technology and experimental setups in materials research. For demanding measurement tasks, tungsten/rhenium thermocouple wires are also available, which withstand temperatures up to 2,400 °C.

Our customers include renowned research laboratories as well as development departments at universities, institutes and companies. They value our flexible, reliable working methods and close collaboration at a professional level. As a medium-sized company, we place great emphasis on personal consulting and tailored solutions. Together with you, we select the appropriate wire specification – matched to your application and your requirements in the laboratory.

Which tungsten powders are available?

We carry tungsten powders in different grain sizes and purity grades, enabling coverage of both standard applications and highly specialized projects. Typical particle sizes range from approximately 2.2 µm to below 10 µm. For particularly high requirements, powders with purities up to 99.999% are available. These are used, for example, in electronics, analytics or materials research. In the field of nanomaterials, we also offer tungsten nanopowder with very fine particle sizes in the range of approximately 50 nm. The combination of different grain sizes and purities enables targeted selection according to your application.

Are tungsten foils available at ChemPUR?

Tungsten foils and sheets are an integral part of our supply program and are available in numerous variants. The range extends from very thin foils starting at approximately 0.025 mm up to solid sheets several millimeters thick. As a supplier of high-purity metals, we deliver tungsten in precisely defined qualities and forms – matched to applications in materials research, coating technology and high-temperature processes. The high purity and excellent thermal stability make these semi-finished products particularly suitable for demanding application areas such as vacuum technology or thin-film processes.

Our strength lies in the combination of a broad standard program and individual customization. In addition to various formats and thicknesses, we also realize project-specific cuts or special dimensions. This way you receive tungsten foils that are precisely matched to your requirements – from laboratory applications to industrial use. Through our many years of experience with pure metals and semi-finished products, we support you not only with delivery but also with selecting the optimal specification for your project.

Which tungsten oxides does chemPUR offer?

Our portfolio includes several tungsten oxides in different oxidation states and purity classes. These include in particular tungsten(IV) oxide (WO₂) and tungsten(VI) oxide (WO₃), which are available in various qualities. The products are predominantly offered as powders and achieve purities up to 99.995%. Nanopowders are also available for special applications. In thin-film technology, tungsten oxide tablets for evaporation processes are also used, which have been specifically developed for coating processes. This enables coverage of both classic laboratory applications and industrial processes.

Is tungsten carbide available at chemPUR?

Tungsten carbide is available in our range in various variants and is offered both as powder and as nanopowder. Typical products are based on WC (tungsten(IV) carbide) and are suitable for different applications. The material properties are characterized by high hardness, wear resistance and temperature stability.

Therefore, tungsten carbide is frequently used in materials engineering, in coatings or in research. Our products are available in different purities and grain sizes, enabling targeted adaptation to specific requirements. If needed, we support you in the selection or develop an appropriate solution for your project together with you.
