Which tin halides are available?
In our ChemPUR portfolio you will find a wide selection of tin halides used in a variety of ways in research and industry. These include, in particular, tin(II) and tin(IV) compounds such as chlorides, bromides and fluorides. Examples include tin(II) chloride (anhydrous or as dihydrate), tin(IV) chloride, as well as tin(II) bromide or tin(II) fluoride. These compounds are available in different purities and are suitable for applications in synthesis, catalysis or analytics.
The different oxidation states of tin – primarily Sn(II) and Sn(IV) – enable targeted adaptation to specific chemical processes. Are ultra-high-purity tin granules available?
Yes, we offer tin granules in various purity grades – up to ultra-high-purity qualities of 99.9999%. These granules are available in different grain sizes and are particularly suitable for applications where defined material properties and high homogeneity are required. Ultra-high-purity tin granules are used, for example, in materials research, alloy development, or as a starting material for further processing steps. Their defined form makes them easy to dose and process, making them a practical alternative to powder or ingots. We support you in selecting the appropriate purity and specification – especially when your application places special requirements on trace elements or impurities. Which tin compounds does ChemPUR offer?
Our range includes a wide variety of inorganic and organometallic tin compounds for a broad spectrum of applications. In the inorganic segment, we offer, among other things, oxides, halides, sulfates, selenides and tellurides. These include, for example, tin(II) oxide, tin(IV) oxide, or tin chlorides in various purities.
We also supply organometallic tin compounds such as acetates, alkoxides and organic derivatives based on butyl or phenyl groups. These compounds are used, among other things, in catalysis, materials development or specialised synthesis processes. Thanks to our broad portfolio, we can cover both standard applications and highly specialised requirements. What is tin used for in research?

Is tin available as nanopowder?
Yes, we also offer tin as nanopowder – for example with particle sizes below 100 nm. Is tin suitable for thin-film technology?
Tin is ideally suited for thin-film applications and is frequently used in this field. Especially in the form of sputtering targets or evaporation materials, it enables the production of uniform, functional layers on a wide range of substrates. Its good electrical and thermal properties, as well as its ability to form stable oxides, make tin an important material in coating technology.
