Is boron delivered worldwide?
In addition to standard quantities sufficient for many research and industrial applications, we supply boron and boron compounds in larger volumes as well as in customer-specific packaging. Applicable transport regulations for chemical substances are observed—particularly with regard to SVHC labeling, which is relevant for certain boron compounds such as boric acid. Which forms does ChemPUR offer?
ChemPUR offers boron in several forms that differ according to processing and application. Elemental boron is available as amorphous or crystalline powder. Various particle sizes and purity grades are available, including amorphous boron powder with 2 µm, crystalline boron powder with 40 µm, and crystalline boron in coarser form.
For applications requiring a more compact form, ChemPUR offers crystalline boron pieces with 1–20 mm as well as boron rods with 5 mm and 10 mm diameter. These forms are particularly suitable when handling, defined geometry, or further processing are paramount. In addition to elemental boron, boron-containing compounds are also available in various forms. These include, among others, boron carbide as powder and nanopowder, boron nitride as powder, nanopowder, and rod, as well as boron oxide as powder or pieces. This enables you to select the appropriate boron form according to particle size, purity, geometry, and application.
In which purities is boron available from ChemPUR?
Which purity is suitable depends on how sensitive your application is to impurities and which form you require. Our specialist team is pleased to support you in selecting the appropriate boron grade. In our range you will find several purity grades: from 95–97% to 99.995%. Amorphous boron powder is available in both 95–97% and 99.9%. Crystalline boron powder is available, depending on the version, with 99%, 99.95+%, or 99.995% in dopant quality. For compact forms, ChemPUR offers crystalline boron pieces with 99% as well as boron rods with 99.5%. Boron compounds are also available in different grades: boric acid, for example, ranges from 99.5+% to 99.999%, boron oxide is available up to 99.999%.
