Which manganese forms does ChemPUR offer?
Manganese is available at ChemPUR in various physical forms, enabling the material to be matched to different handling and process requirements. For powder-based applications, several grain sizes are available, including fractions smaller than 180 micrometers, smaller than 60 mesh, and a low-oxygen variant in the 125–500 micrometer range.
When a more easily dispensable or coarser form is required, manganese flakes with a size below 4 mm and irregular pieces in various purity grades are suitable. For applications requiring defined geometry, ChemPUR also offers manganese rods with 3 mm and 6 mm diameter as well as cast foils in 10 × 10 mm and 25 × 25 mm formats.

In which purities is manganese available?
ChemPUR’s manganese range covers various purity grades for research, development, and technical applications. Depending on the product form, qualities from 99.5% through 99.7%, 99.8%, 99.9%, and 99.95% up to 99.98% are available.
For particularly demanding applications, high-purity qualities up to 99.99% are also available, for example as partially passivated pieces. This version may be relevant when low impurities, controlled reactivity, or sensitive process conditions are a factor. Since not every purity is available in every form, the selection should always be considered together with the desired product form and container size. For which applications is manganese used?
Manganese is among the most versatile transition metals and finds a broad range of applications in research and industry. An outstanding property of the element is its ability to assume oxidation states from +2 to +7 – more than any other element – enabling it to form an exceptional variety of compounds with characteristic colors.
