We see ourselves not only as a supplier, but as a partner for demanding applications in research and industry. ChemPur offers you a broad portfolio of lanthanum products – from simple compounds to high-purity specialty materials. You benefit from our many years of experience in the field of fine chemicals as well as from our international distributor network, which enables reliable supply.
Our customers particularly value the combination of technical consulting, high product quality and individual support. We assist you in selecting suitable materials and deliver appropriate solutions even for complex requirements. As an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, we also stand for verified quality and reproducible results. At ChemPUR you receive lanthanum not only in the desired specification, but also with the service that is critical for your projects.
What Purities Do We Offer for Lanthanum?
We offer lanthanum in a broad purity range specifically tailored to the requirements of research, development and industry. Our portfolio includes purities from approximately 99% (3N) up to 99.9999% (6N), enabling reliable service even for highly sensitive applications. This range allows you to select the optimal quality depending on the field of application. While purities in the range of 99.9% are often sufficient for standard applications, significantly higher purity grades are typically used for analytical procedures, thin-film technologies or high-technology projects. Particularly in the area of oxides, fluorides or acetates, we offer several purity grades so that you can precisely adjust your processes. Through our controlled supply chains and quality processes, we ensure consistently high material quality.
In What Forms is Lanthanum Available?
Lanthanum is available from us in a variety of physical forms, so that you can select the appropriate variant for each application. These include, among others, powder, granules, chips, pieces as well as classic semi-finished products such as wires, rods and foils.
For special applications, we also offer lanthanum as evaporation material, for example in the form of small pieces or in ampoules under protective gas – for instance for thin-film processes in vacuum coating, for the production of functional optical layers or for applications in semiconductor and materials research. Alloys such as lanthanum-nickel (LaNi₅) are also part of our supply program. This diversity enables use in a wide variety of areas – from materials research through catalysis to thin-film technology. By selecting the right form, you can optimize your processes and specifically influence the desired reactivity or processability.
Does ChemPUR Also Offer Lanthanum as Nanopowder?
You can also obtain lanthanum in the nanoscale range from us – particularly in the form of lanthanum oxide nanopowder. These materials are characterized by a very fine particle size in the range of approximately 15–30 nm as well as a high specific surface area.
Nanopowders are used primarily where a large reactive surface is required, for example in catalysis, in materials research or in functional coatings. Through controlled production and specification, we ensure that the particle size distribution and material properties remain reproducible. For research projects and development applications, nanomaterials offer decisive advantages, as they enable new material properties. We are happy to support you in selecting the appropriate nanopowders for your specific requirements.
What Lanthanum Compounds are Available?
The range of ChemPUR includes a broad selection of lanthanum compounds from various substance classes. These include, among others
Acetates,
Borides,
Carbonates,
Halides (e.g., chlorides and fluorides),
Nitrates,
Oxalates,
Oxides,
Phosphates as well as sulfates.
In addition, we also offer special compounds such as lanthanum-thd (organometallic), which are used for particular applications. Within these substance classes, various purities and specifications are available to you. This diversity enables the use of lanthanum in numerous areas – from synthetic chemistry through analytics to high-technology applications. Through our broad portfolio, we can deliver exactly the compound that suits your process.
Is Lanthanum Available for Thin-Film Processes?
Yes, we offer you specifically targeted lanthanum products for thin-film processes at ChemPUR. These include in particular evaporation materials as well as specially prepared fluorides or metal forms that are suitable for vapor deposition or coating processes. For example, lanthanum fluorides are available in suitable particle sizes or as pieces specifically designed for use in vacuum technology. Metallic lanthanum can also be provided in suitable forms for thin-film applications. For these applications, in addition to purity, the material form is also critical. Therefore, we pay attention to precise specification with regard to grain size, geometry and packaging. We are happy to advise you in selecting the optimal material for your coating processes.
Does ChemPUR Deliver Lanthanum Under Protective Atmosphere?
Yes, we deliver sensitive lanthanum products under suitable protective conditions in order to preserve material quality. Depending on the product, delivery takes place, among other methods, under argon, in ampoules or under mineral oil. These measures are necessary because lanthanum as a reactive metal tends to oxidize. Through controlled packaging, we ensure that the purity and physical properties are preserved until application. Particularly for high-purity materials or special forms such as powder or small pieces, proper storage and handling are critical. We take these requirements into account already at delivery, so that you can use the material directly and safely in your processes.
