Why is ChemPUR the Right Partner for Copper?

ChemPUR Feinchemikalien und Forschungsbedarf GmbH has many years of experience in the procurement and distribution of high-purity metals and specialty chemicals for science and industry. The copper range is distinguished by particularly extensive product depth – from nanopowders and oxygen-free powders to sputtering targets, foils, and galvanic baths.

In addition, a broad spectrum of copper compounds is available, enabling you to source all required materials from a single supplier. For your application, not only product variety matters, but also expert consultation: Our team supports you in selecting the appropriate purity, particle size, and product form for your specific application area.

Our collaboration with verified suppliers ensures that high quality standards are reliably met. We are pleased to serve as your competent partner for copper procurement.

In Which Purities is Copper Available?

Our copper range covers a broad spectrum of purity grades, enabling you to find the appropriate material for virtually any requirement. Qualities from 99% to 99.99% are available. The highest purity grade is particularly suitable for demanding research and development applications where even minor impurities can influence results.

For applications with specific requirements regarding oxygen content, we supply Cu-OF powder with 99.95% purity (Metals Basis), among others. This oxygen-free variant is preferably used where oxide inclusions must be avoided. In the nanopowder range, qualities of 99.5% and 99.9% are available. You can thus select purity precisely according to experimental setup, process requirements, or production specifications. We are pleased to support you with application-oriented consultation in selecting the appropriate quality grade.

Which Forms of Copper Does ChemPUR Offer?

Copper is available from us in numerous physical forms and can therefore be flexibly adapted to different laboratory and industrial requirements. The range extends from spherical powders in various grain sizes – from under 100 micrometers to defined fractions such as 20–53 micrometers – to nanopowders with average particle sizes of 25 nm and 60–80 nm.

For applications requiring compact or dimensionally stable materials, foils, wires, rods, granules, and ingots are available. Gauzes and sputtering targets are particularly suitable for thin-film processes. Galvanic baths and evaporation materials cover further application areas, such as electroplating or vacuum coating.

Depending on requirements, packaging sizes from a few grams to kilogram quantities are available. The appropriate combination of particle size, geometry, and purity is decisive for selection. Contact us – we will support you in finding the optimal product form for your application.

Does ChemPUR Deliver Copper Worldwide?

Yes, we supply customers worldwide – from European research institutions and international universities to globally operating industrial companies. Shipment of copper products is carried out in compliance with all relevant transport and dangerous goods regulations, ensuring that goods arrive safely and in perfect condition. For deliveries within Europe, shipping routes and conditions are generally particularly efficient.

We support you in preparing the necessary export documentation for international shipments. Depending on the destination country and product type, specific import regulations may apply, about which we are pleased to inform you in advance. In practice, this means a reliable, cross-border procurement source for research-grade copper. Contact us, and we will jointly clarify the optimal shipping and delivery arrangements for your order.

For Which Applications is Copper Used?

Copper is among the most versatile metals in research and technology due to its outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity as well as its excellent formability. In materials science and surface technology, it is used as a sputtering target for the deposition of conductive layers, among other applications. Copper nanopowders are used in the development of conductive inks, in catalysis research, and in nanotechnology.

Copper also plays a central role in electroplating, for example in the deposition of galvanic protective and functional coatings. In development departments, it is used for the production of alloys, composite materials, and electronic components. For your application, the targeted selection of appropriate particle size and purity is particularly relevant. We are pleased to support you in selecting the suitable copper product for your research or development project.

How Do You Ensure the Quality of Copper?

Quality assurance at ChemPUR begins with the careful selection of our suppliers. They must meet defined requirements regarding purity, particle characteristics, and documentation. Each copper product is delivered with a certificate of analysis documenting key specifications such as purity grade, particle size distribution, or specific surface area.

Nanopowders with average particle sizes of, for example, 25 nm or 60–80 nm are additionally documented with data on specific surface area (SSA) and morphology. This enables precise evaluation of product properties and targeted comparison with the requirements of your application.

For your experiments and processes, this means greater planning certainty and better reproducibility. For special requirements, such as additional test reports or specific analytical methods, please contact us. We will support you in obtaining the documentation necessary for your quality assurance.

Which Copper Compounds are Available?

In addition to elemental copper, ChemPUR offers an extensive spectrum of copper compounds for chemical and materials science applications. The range includes acetates, aluminates, borates, carbonates, halides, nitrates, oxides, pentanedionates, phosphates, sulfates, sulfides, tungstates, and vanadates, among others. For applications in catalysis, sensor technology, and materials research, selected copper compounds are also available as nanopowders. Copper evaporation materials and compounds for galvanic baths cover further application areas.

Depending on the compound, products are available in various purity grades and quantity units, enabling both analytical and preparative working scales to be accommodated. You thus obtain a reliable single-source supplier – from simple copper salts to specialized compounds. Please contact us if you are looking for a specific copper compound not listed in our overview.
